Who would have ever thought that a Colorado suburb would be ground-zero for a violent community take-over by Venezuelan gang members. With a distance of 3,251 miles between Colorado and Caracas, how did these large numbers of Venezuelan gang members make their way to Aurora Colorado in the first place?
If we start from the beginning, the answer is pretty simple; these folks were invited, enticed and eventually rewarded by the democrat-controlled sanctuary city of Denver. Upon the signing of the American Rescue Plan Act in 2021 (ARPA), the city of Denver immediately thrusted its hand out, declaring itself a “welcoming city” for illegal immigrants.
This declaration allowed the city of Denver to receive billions of ARPA dollars from the Biden/Harris administration, which it used to launch its Emergency Migrant Response Resettlement Program. In turn, the city of Denver recruited several local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to provide housing and humanitarian services for more than 10,000 illegal Venezuelan migrants, thus publicly subsidizing illegal immigration from a country hostile to the United States.
To make matters worse, if that were possible, a large majority of these Venezuelan migrants have been identified as having ties to the violent and deadly prison gang, Tren-de-Aragua (TdA). These gang members were placed in apartments (at taxpayer expense of course), in the Denver suburb of Aurora, and began to set up their violent criminal enterprise.
Tren-de-Aragua began as a prison gang in Venezuela and has quickly expanded its reach into major metropolitan cities across the United States the last three years, due to the Biden/Harris open border catch and release policy. The gang is known for being especially violent, with its main exploits being extortion and trafficking in women and children for sexual exploitation.
Almost immediately, the apartments saw a dramatic rise in crimes against its current residents, ranging from simple theft to sexual assaults on minors. The gang began using the apartments as a hub for its extortion and human trafficking rings. The current tenants had now become hostages within their own building, as armed gang members had commandeered the three-unit complex.
The mainstream media and the local democrat establishment went right to work trying to dispel and quash the goings-on at the Aurora apartment complex, calling anyone racist or xenophobic for speaking out. Aurora city councilmember Dannielle Jurinsky tweeted “gangs have taken over the complex”, after viewing the viral video footage of illegal Venezuelan immigrants with long guns patrolling the stairwells of the apartment complex.
A Denver law firm was hired by the mayor’s office to investigate the apparent siege of the apartment complex, which began over a year ago. According to the mayor’s office, they concluded tenants were fleeing the Whispering Pines Apartments in massive numbers in early 2024, due the massive increase in crimes against its residents.
The report went on to state “The evidence we have reviewed indicates that gang members are engaging in flagrant trespass violations, assaults and battery, human trafficking and sexual abuse of minors, unlawful firearms possession, extortion, and other criminal activities, often targeting vulnerable Venezuelan and other immigrant populations,” wrote Markus Funk, a former U.S. Attorney.
Democrat legislators throughout the state continue to blame the apartment’s managers for the crime wave and called the residents claims, “isolated incidents,” despite knowing the investigations findings. Unfortunately for the residents, this is the new normal democrats have promised them; and don’t forget the bonus, if you speak out or complain, you’re xenophobic.
Thanks, and God bless you.
