A Southern California wildfire dubbed the “Post Fire” has doubled since Saturday, forcing the evacuation of at least 1,200 campers, off-roaders, and hikers from the Hungry Valley recreation area. You can see the video of the fire here.
Authorities believe the blaze began just before 2 p.m. on Saturday and quickly spread to 5,000 acres, fueled by high winds and dry brush.
The steep mountainous terrain made it difficult for firefighters to reach the flames, and by Sunday, the fire had spread to 12,265 acres and was just 2 percent contained (AP)
Evacuation warnings are in place south of Pyramid Lake between Old Ridge Route and the Los Angeles County line as more than 300 firefighters are working to construct a fire perimeter. (The Hill)
