Cooler temperatures and increased humidity assisted thousands of firefighters in slowing the wildfire, which is one of several currently spreading in the western U.S. and Canada.

The blaze, dubbed the Park Fire, began on Wednesday when a now-imprisoned man pushed a burning car into a gully in Chico, California.
