Exodus features some of the most memorable events in the Bible, with the burning bush, the plagues, Moses parting the Red Sea, and the Ten Commandments.
I’ve known the basic outline of the second book of the Bible since I was a kid.
But understanding the symbolism and subtlety God used as He freed the Israelites has deepened my awe at His wisdom and goodness. Each warning to the Egyptians built upon the last, and with every plague God gave Pharaoh the chance to repent and avoid disaster.
All the while, God showed patience with His sometimes hesitant servant Moses and His people, the Israelites.
To reveal this fascinating history and deepen your understanding of God’s mercy, we’ve produced our newest online course, “The Exodus Story,” which we’ll release on February 13.
Professor Justin Jackson returns to lead us through the intricacies of the Exodus narrative, explaining how God used each warning and plague, to draw His people into trust and to give the Egyptians a chance to repent.
