The Biblical view of turning against Israel plus the latest example of Fake News
The nation of Israel is about the size of New Jersey and it is surrounded by Muslim nations. Therefore, the David (Israel) vs Goliath (Iran and its proxies) is appropriate. The new twist is that the Biden regime has turned on our closest ally. Read the details below.
RIGHT VIEWS
All Israel News: UN Security Council calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza after US abstains in vote. Netanyahu cancels an Israeli delegation scheduled to arrive in Washington to discuss Rafah operational plans.
The Bible’s view: 2600 years ago the Bible predicted that one day every nation will turn against Israel. America is just about the only friend Israel has. That is until now. The Biden administration just abstained from vetoing a UN vote against Israel.
Zechariah 12:2-3 says, 2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.”
(Look at what happens to nations that try to get rid of Israel in verse 3 — They are cut in pieces).
And Joel 3:1-2 says, “For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations,
And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
And I will enter into judgment with them there
On account of My people, My heritage Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
They have also divided up My land.(The captives are back in the land of Judah and Jerusalem. So we should not be surprised that our Biblically-illiterate leaders would fulfill prophecy by abandoning Israel. Don’t forget, Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you.”) Pray for mercy.

FAKE NEWS
Lawfare hasn’t worked to derail former President Trump’s presidential campaign. With every indictment, his poll numbers go up. So when lawfare doesn’t work, the democrat media resorts to use of “Liefare.”
Yesterday, the Drudge Report headline in red letters under a picture of Trump said, “I AM CHRIST.” The clickbait worked on me. The claim was so outrageous I had to see for myself.
This screenshot shows the Drudge report headline. I found the story in the MIRROR. See below.
The MIRROR story said, “Donald Trump says he is CHRIST.” But that was a lie. No where in the post does Trump claim to be Christ.
Trump reposted on TRUTH SOCIAL, a post that was sent to him. It says, “Received this morning—Beautiful, thank you!” He didn’t name the person who sent it to him.
And then it says, “It’s ironic that Christ walked through His greatest persecution the very week they are trying to steal your property from you. But have you seen this verse…?”
Below that sentence is a Psalm which was penned by David about being unjustly persecuted by his enemies.
Here is the text of Psalm 109:3-8:
“They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,
And fought against me without a cause.
In return for my love they are my accusers,
But I give myself to prayer.
Thus they have rewarded me evil for good,
And hatred for my love.
Set a wicked man over him,
And let an accuser stand at his right hand.
When he is judged, let him be found guilty,
And let his prayer become sin.
Let his days be few,
And let another take his office
###
Then Trump’s post ends with a message from the sender:
“I’m praying this over you daily. So many praying for you. Thank you again for taking the arrows intended for us. We love you ”
Varvel’s view: Now, let’s be honest, Trump did not claim to be Christ in that post.
Question: Have you ever felt persecuted unjustly? Have you ever been cancelled? I have. The Bible speaks to every experience that we face in life. God identifies with our sufferings and verses like the one above can be comforting in times of trouble.
Keep in mind though, that Jesus ushered in the Age of Grace and we’re told, not to curse our enemies but love them and do good to them and leave the vengeance to God.
Last point: There’s an old saying, “A lie will get half way around the world, before the truth gets its pants on.” So the Drudge headline in red will stick in people’s minds who didn’t take the time to look it up. There are people who still believe the Russian Collusion Hoax was true.
