My cartoon, The Pardon Family, struck a nerve with the libs. Enjoy these rants:
“People like you make our country a worse place to live. You claim to be a christian, yet you lie and misrepresent. I hope you believe in hell, because you will end up there. How about a cartoon of the Trump Crime family?” – signed, Bruce Wayne
“Hey Gary, saw your “Pardon Family” cartoon. Great work. But just wondering if you’re going to sketch a similar one regarding Trump pardoning violent January 6th criminals? Thanks.” – signed, Mike J.
“You really have a lot of nerve with today’s cartoon about the Biden family pardons after trump pardoned criminals who attacked police. This is disgraceful and typical right wing drivel. Wake up.” – signed, Thomas B.
Hey, when are you doing a funny cartoon about *rump pardoning violent criminals who attacked and injured police? …It’s more than a little weird to me how people who call themselves “christian” nevertheless support the lies, filth, and corruption of *rump (now with the racist sidekick Musk). Almost like they’ve fallen into some evil cult. At least Esau got a bowl of stew when he sold out. Is your MAGA hat edible? -signed, Ferd Burfle.
Every artist appreciates compliments, and I got some kudos on this cartoon, but the responses above are like gold for an editorial cartoonist. Obviously, I hit my target.
For the record: My cartoon is based on the fact that the investigation into Hunter Biden’s business and corroborated by his laptop implicates the Biden family of receiving more than $10 million from Communist Chinese companies, Ukraine and Russian businesses in an elaborate influence peddling scheme. Biden preemptively pardoned his family covering anything that they did in the previous decade. This appears to be an admission of guilt in order to keep them out of jail.
Now regarding President Trump’s pardons, Trump told Sean Hannity last week that the J6ers have served up to 3 years in prison and some of them were given sentences that were decades long. While others had been in solitary confinement and treated terribly and Trump thought that the sentences were unfair.
Proud Boys Leader Enrique Tarrio was sentenced to 22 years in prison — the longest January 6 sentence — even though he was not in Washington during the attack.
Trump also pardoned, 23 “peaceful pro–life protesters” saying, “They should not have been prosecuted” by the Biden Justice Department. Some of them were mothers and grandmothers who were convicted for praying outside of an abortion clinic.
As it’s been pointed out many times in the past, the BLM riots destroyed businesses and many people died but very few of those criminals were arrested.
Trump told Hannity that in his first term he didn’t pardon the people who supported him because they did nothing wrong. But some of them, like Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro were sent to jail by the Biden Justice Department.
Finally, as a Christ-follower and student of the Bible, I supported Trump because his policies were more Biblical than the child-sacrifice, anti-Biblical marriage, transgender fantasy, open-border and soft-on-crime policies of the left.
