Gary Varvel: Only California voters can prevent forest fires

Obviously, if Californians want better leadership they will have to make the change at the ballot box.

But that probably won’t happen because the people who genuinely want change are changing their location instead of hanging around to change their vote.

According to Public Policy Institute of California, the state lost 412,000 people between July 2020 and July 2023.
