AMERICA’S GODLY HERITAGE
Did you know that many of the state constitutions included statements of faith. For instance:
The Delaware Constitution, 1776, Article 22 says that everyone appointed to public office must take this oath:
” I, __________ do profess faith in God the Father, and in Jesus Christ His only Son, and in the Holy Ghost, one God, blessed for evermore; and I do acknowledge the holy scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by divine inspiration.”
As history was revised or ignored, the generations that followed were taught and believed the humanistic lie that there is no God. Therefore, we can do whatever is right in our own eyes because we are our own god.
In Part 2, we observed how Israel forgot God and worshipped Baal. The next idol they worshipped was a goddess.
ASHTORETH OR ISHTAR
Judges 2:13 says, “They forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.”
Notice that these two gods are mentioned together.
Judges 10:6, “Then the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths.”
What is the connection between these two?
In his book, Return of the Gods, Jonathan Cahn writes, “Baal represented the nation’s turning away from God and to the physical, material, carnal and sensual.” Which was Ashtoreth.
To the Canaanites, she was known as Astarte. The Sumerians called her Inanna, the Greeks called her Aphrodite, the Romans called her Venus and Assyria, Babylon and Mesopotamia called her Ishtar.
She was a goddess of seduction; a temptress of sexual licentiousness and debauchery.
What happened to ancient Israel has happened to America. The Biblical standard of the sacredness of marriage and sexual fidelity was replaced by a sexual revolution in the 1960s. Each generation since has moved farther from God’s standard.
PORNOGRAPHY
Eros was a Greek god of sexual desire. Eros is the root word for erotica, erotic dancers, erotic literature and erotic movies. Eros was supposedly born of Aphrodite. And Aphrodite was the Greek incarnation of Ishtar, the god of seduction. So behind the influence of Eros on America is actually Ishtar, the unclean spirit of seduction.
Ishtar was the goddess of prostitution. In the Old Testament, the worship of Ishtar included temple prostitutes. Are there signs of the worship of this goddess in America? Well, the world’s number 1 producer of pornography is America. Pornography comes from the word Porneia which is a Greek word that means “illicit sexual activity.”
In Sir John Glubb in his book The Fate of Empires, he lists 7 stages every empire experiences. 1. The age of pioneers. 2. The age of conquests. 3. The age of commerce.4. The age of affluence. 5. The age of intellect. 6. The age of decadence. 7. The age of decline and collapse.
In Cal Thomas’ book, America’s Expiration Date, he claims that the “age of decadence” began with Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine. Hefner made sexual content accessible to the mainstream. Today, the U.S. is the by far the world’s largest producer of pornography. Even mainstream media includes sexual content which has contributed to the sexualization of America.
If Thomas is right, we are already in the “Age of decline and collapse.”
In 1787, George Mason said, “As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world they must be in this. By an inevitable chain of causes & effects providence punishes national sins, by national calamities.”
Free love, objectified women and enslaved millions worldwide through sex trafficking. America’s worship of the goddess of sex has resulted in prostitution, broken homes, ruined lives, single-parent homes, increased abortions, sexual abuse, rapes… Worship of this goddess has become a war within America that has destroyed the foundation of the home and left millions of children in broken homes.
Now look at what the Bible says:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says, 9 “…Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.”
So where is the hope?
Well, look at next verse: 11 “Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
No matter what you’ve done in the past, God is ready to forgive if you repent and call on Jesus to save you.
Epilogue: I know that some of my subscribers are not Christians, yet. I’m praying that you will be. As we see Bible prophecies being fulfilled, Jesus’ promised return may very be near.

The Jerusalem Post: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said the continuation of the Gaza war will lead to a regional explosion.
Personal note: The Bible prophesied thousands of years ago in Ezekiel 38-39, that Iran will attack Israel. God told us ahead of time so that when we see it coming, we will believe and be saved.
