Greyhound Crash Leaves 2 Dead, 30 Injured

Jackson, TN

Two people died and around 30 were hospitalized after a Greyhound bus collided with a passenger vehicle on U.S. Highway 70 near Jackson, Tennessee, on Monday evening.

The bus was traveling east from Memphis toward Nashville when the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m., according to the Madison County Fire Department.

Authorities say the bus was carrying 32 passengers, a driver, and a relief driver. Emergency crews transported at least 27 injured to nearby hospitals, though Greyhound’s parent company later said 30 were hospitalized, with most since released. Tennessee Highway Patrol and other agencies are investigating the cause.
