For the few who didn’t watch, the Houston Cougars and Florida Gators advanced to the NCAA men’s basketball national championship game with wins on Saturday. The teams will play Monday in San Antonio.
Houston went on a 25-8 run at the end of the game to defeat Duke 70-67 on Saturday night.
Florida beat Auburn 79-73 earlier in the day. All-American Walter Clayton Jr. scored a career-high 34 points to help the Gators overcome a nine-point second-half deficit.
Also on Saturday, Duke’s Cooper Flagg became only the fourth freshman to win the Wooden Award as the most outstanding men’s college basketball player.
