Folks, if we say nothing, we give our tacit approval.
Here is the article Ms Carrillo-Casas published: https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2025/mar/13/ice-agents-smash-windows-of-vehicle-drag-two-peopl/
For those who might not know, my home was in the area of the incident a week ago yesterday, about which the media is saying nothing of substance. My daughter joked, as we were leaving to do our weekly shopping tour, yesterday, that she hoped we didn’t return to find more ambulances and fire trucks parked in front of our home. Imagine my surprise when, shortly after returning home, I watched an ICE vehicle drive by in front of our home. Such indicates an illegal alien presence here.
Ms Carrillo-Casas,
Funny that I’ve found nothing, at Spokesman.com, about the shooting of Representative Dents son, in Moses Lake. One would think this would be all over the front page of the Spokesman, considering Dent was airlifted to Spokane.
Want to wager, Ms Carrillo-Casas, that the perpetrators are illegal alien? Moses Lake is riddled with illegal aliens, as is Yakima and the tri-cities.
These are the people you think we should all feel sorry for; compassion for, as you try to downplay the crimes they commit.
Furthermore, it is notable that you make no mention of the fact that those voting to affirm Spokane sanctuary policy are, themselves, violating federal law. I believe we’ve already had that discussion and the possibility that they could be charged under 8 USC 1324.
By the way – where is your reporting on the incident, in the Chief Garry Neighborhood last weekend that involved a whole host of agencies, including ICE? Word is that the perp was a violent illegal alien who barricaded himself in a home and held hostages, although the City of Spokane isn’t acknowledging such.
Hey, maybe if you try real hard, you can drum up sympathy for this criminal that had the neighborhood watching cops running up and down streets and alleys while they were left wondering what was going on. I’m sure you will get a great outpouring of sympathy and compassion, after being subjected to that.
There was a day when the Spokesman Review had reporters; now, apparently, it only employs propagandists for the “progressive” cause.
