GREEN HILLS, Tenn. (WZTV) — A suspect has been arrested in connection to vandalism and harassment targeting one Nashville neighborhood.
Metro Police report Charles Maguire, 49, was arrested Monday for alleging spray painting a swastika on the front door of the Nashville Public Library’s Green Hills branch and making harassing phone calls to Green Hills Community Church.
Police say the vandalism occurred on Dec. 14, and the harassments took place on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Dec. 30. Ahead of the library vandalism, Maguire was reportedly asked to leave the area.
Maguire was previously arrested on Nov. 30 for allegedly leaving troubling messages towards the same Green Hills church. He was also arrested on vandalism charges for allegedly pouring what police believe was urine through a window opening of the Mental Health Cooperative.
Maguire posted a $3,000 bond for those charges and was released ahead of this most recent arrest.
A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,000 for the new warrants.
