* An AP article on Wednesday noted that “Four of the past five Stanley Cup champions are based in places with no state income taxes, and that benefit continues to draw free agents who know they will take home more money there than elsewhere around North America.”
* Nevada – home to the Las Vegas Golden Knights; winner of the 2023 Stanley Cup – has no state income tax. And we’re gonna keep it that way.
* Joe Biden has now gone from blaming his disastrous debate performance last week on a cold to jet lag. The AP is reporting that Biden told donors at a “Saving Private Biden” meeting that he “fell asleep on stage.”
* Which caused many Americans to finally wake up to the nightmare of the Biden presidency. Heckuva job, Sleepy Joe.
* Anyone doubting that Democrats are in “full panic mode” after the Biden-Trump debate last week should take a look at the panicked email Nevada U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosenflation sent to supporters yesterday.
* She starts out warning that “this is a dire moment for our reelection fight, so I wanted you to hear it directly from me.”
* She goes on to note that “The Cook Political report downgraded my race from ‘Lean Democrat’ to a ‘Toss Up’ and an expert New York Times poll showed me tied with my opponent (Sam Brown).”
* And if the ultra-liberal NYT says it’s tied, that means Brown’s likely ahead by at least a couple points.
* Nevada State Sen. Dallas Harris (D-Clark County) – the most vulnerable Democrat on the ballot in November, and maybe the most radical – is getting a little help from her friends in San Francisco.
* Harris – “a lesbian married mom” – is getting money and volunteers from a far-left California group, the Bay Area Coalition, that hopes to help Democrats gain a super-majority in the Senate so they can pass tax hikes and override vetoes by Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo.
* The Bay Area Reporter reports that “Martha Knutzen, a lesbian and longtime Democratic Party activist in San Francisco, has been helping to coordinate the weekly phone banking on behalf of Harris for the coalition that includes more than 40 grassroots groups based in the Bay Area.”
* Harris will face Republican Lori Rogich in November in a district that has become far less Democrat-friendly after redistricting in 2020. It went from a +17 Democrat district to a +7, with a ton of non-partisans.
* Naturally, as is her penchant, Harris whipped out the ol’ race card, telling BAR, “I think it is really important for other Nevadans to see people who look like them in these types of positions.”
* As if it’s better if a black lesbian raises your taxes than a straight white man.
* If you want to further “Californicate” Nevada, Dallas Harris – the San Francisco treat – is your gal. If you want to Make Nevada Nevada Again, Rogich is the clear choice.
