(Chuck Muth) – Got a pretty exciting announcement to make…
Republican candidate Kelly Chapman performed WELL over expectations – on a shoestring budget – in her uphill campaign to flip a D seat in Assembly District 8 this election cycle.
But unlike all too many “shooting star” candidates who disappear from the field of battle after a loss, she ain’t goin’ nowhere.
In addition to being a longtime manager in the gaming industry, Kelly and her mom have a small custom apparel and promotional products business. So she knows first-hand exactly how government regulations, red tape, taxes, and fees hurt entrepreneurs.
And with that in mind, we’ve created a new project at Citizen Outreach called the Nevada Small Business Alliance (NSBA) – and Kelly has agreed to head up the group as its Executive Director.
NSBA will be dedicated to defending and promoting small businesses in the Silver State – especially home-based businesses and “solopreneurs” in the new “gig” economy. It will advocate for fair policies, combat undue regulations, and provide resources to help these job creators thrive.
This is the first of what I expect to be a number of “incubator” projects Citizen Outreach intends to launch in 2025. The inspiration comes from legendary conservative Richard Viguerie’s must-read book, “Go Big.”
In it, Richard notes that “liberals have about 20,000 single-issue grassroots organizations, and conservatives have about 1,000 – 2,000.” As such, he encourages the creation of thousands of “new single-issue conservative organizations at the local, state, and national levels.”
Sounds like a good idea to us! So we’ll be doing just that here in Nevada under Citizen Outreach’s start-up umbrella, with the intent that these projects will ultimately spin off into their own independent organizations.
We’re looking at launching similar projects on school choice, government spending (Nevada DOGE?), criminal justice (for victims, not criminals!), illegal immigration, minority outreach, free market health care, energy, etc.
So welcome aboard, Kelly. Break a leg – and some government regulations!
P.S. If you’re interested in working with Kelly on the new NSBA, you can reach her at NevadaBizAlliance@gmail.com or (702) 483-0186.
