MUTH’S TRUTHS
My Three Days at “Conservative Camp David”
(Chuck Muth) – Greetings from the very wet and pretty cold marshlands of Maryland’s Eastern Shore – where the deer, but not the antelope, play.
Pigpen Project director Iris Stone and I are here with about two dozen state leaders from various “swing” states of the Election Integrity Network (EIN) plotting how to save the republic from dirty voter rolls and other left-wing dirty tricks.
If you’re not familiar with EIN, its mission is to restore trust in elections by ensuring they are properly administered under state statutes and the U.S. Constitution.
It recruits, trains, and equips citizens across the country to advocate for constitutionally-based election integrity through coalition building, education, training, and resource support.
In short, EIN has become the gold standard for election reform efforts nationwide.
OK, here’s my travel diary…
Iris and I flew to Reagan International on Sunday – and yeah, it was kind of a weird feeling knowing we were approaching the runway on the exact same flight path as the tragedy a few weeks ago.
We waited a half-hour for the hotel shuttle that was supposed to run every 15 minutes and finally decided to just grab a cab.
Checked into the Pentagon Park Sheraton and had dinner with EIN founder/trail boss Cleta Mitchell and others from around the country.
We were all supposed to ride over to the White House from the hotel in the morning – it was raining, of course – but had to scramble for Ubers because the bus driver didn’t show up.
After getting through White House security and snapping some Polaroids at the entrance, we were ushered into the Cordell Hull Conference Room in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (EOB) for a one-hour briefing on President Trump’s executive order related to elections.

While POTUS himself didn’t participate, about a half-dozen administrative staff attended, led by Vince Haley, Director of the White House’s Domestic Policy Council, which is known inside the West Wing as “The Office of Promises Kept.”
You probably don’t recognize Vince’s name, but he’s a pretty big deal inside the Beltway and has been around high-level conservative politics for a long time. In fact, he co-wrote “Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less” with Newt Gingrich back in 2008.
The general topic of the briefing discussion was centered around how EIN state leaders can help IMPLEMENT the president’s executive order on election reforms. Extremely productive discussion.
After the briefing, we all hopped on the bus that finally showed up for the two-hour ride to an exclusive, private retreat on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. And . . . WOW! . . . is this place B-E-A-utiful.
Camp Rydin is a 2,200-acre compound described as the “Conservative Camp David.” It’s used by the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI) for political education and advocacy purposes.
The property includes amenities like marshlands for outdoor activities and indoor courts for sports, making it a retreat-style venue for conservative strategizing and training events.
Now, one of the rules for staying here is that we are not allowed to post any photographs of either the inside or outside of the main lodge and guest houses. However, we ARE allowed to post photos of the grounds surrounding the facility.
Here’s one from the east-facing porch. If you zoom in and look closely at the clump of trees in the foreground, you’ll see a giant bald eagle nest. Pretty cool.

Today’s Day Three – and it’s been an extremely productive meeting.
The folks invited to participate are responsible conservative leaders who aren’t running around yelling “fraud” and “stolen election” without proof and documentation – who are election QUESTIONERS, not “election deniers” – who want to fix the problems, not just b*tch about them.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of posers and grifters out there claiming to be authoritative sources and leaders on election fraud and reform. And if they’re not part of EIN there’s a good chance they huff and puff but don’t actually do or accomplish anything.
Anyway, the confab ends tonight with a fireside chat around the outdoor fire pit before getting up at zero-dark-thirty for the bus ride back to Capitol Hill. And what a way to wrap up…
We’ve all been invited by House Speaker Mike Johnson to sit in the Speaker’s Gallery when the SAVE Act is expected to be passed around 10:00 am tomorrow morning.
Then a quick hi-how-are-ya meeting with my favorite congressman, “Cardinal” Mark Amodei, before heading back to Reagan International for our flight back to the barn.
Should be back in the saddle on Friday. Thanks for holding down the fort while I’ve been gone.
