In other news, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is expanding its cooperation with ICE by notifying the agency of more criminal offenses committed by undocumented immigrants.
Previously, Metro only alerted ICE for violent felonies, DUIs, and domestic violence-related crimes. However, following the passage of the Laken Riley Act, the department is now including theft, larceny, shoplifting, and assaulting a police officer.
Good. We’re making progress.
Meanwhile, Democrat Assembly Majority Leader Sandra Jauregui was caught on video ducking a voter in the parking lot who tried to ask her questions about round-abouts and red-light cameras after a town hall meeting this week. Watch here.
