(Oct. 28, 2023) — “Today” (2:46)
“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to ‘The Pulse of the Nation,’ the place to hear it here first. Bishop Dunkin asked to grace our program with a preview of this Sunday’s sermon, so here goes. The floor is yours, Bishop.”
‘Thank you, Roving, for the comprehensive in-depth introduction that traced my life from birth to present; it is really appreciated. Today I’d like to talk to you about what it means to be responsible. I don’t mean to your job, or how you drive; I mean the responsibility to your country, specifically to the law of land, the Constitution.
“Since this is just a sermon, we’ll dispense with the choir and prayers and move right to the heart of the subject: what each of us owes our country.
“Many think, in order to serve Uncle Sam, you must raise your right hand and recite the Oath given by some authority figure. Not so, but you must recognize that each of us owes our country something. What does that mean, to ‘owe’ our country?
“Of all the countries in the world, in the history of all the countries of the world, our form of government is unique in that we, the people, govern ourselves. We have a system of checks and balances among the three branches of government that does away with monarchs and dictators. We have certain freedoms that have allowed us to retain those freedoms, and we call those freedoms ‘The Bill of Rights.’ When the Constitution was being voted on, there was a great divide on which amendment would be the first, and the stalemate was broken only when it was agreed upon that any one amendment would be as important as any other.
“Many of our Founding Fathers argued that without the Second – the right to bear arms – you can’t have any of the others, but they were convinced that it really was a tie between the Second and the First and that argument could go on perpetually.
“And now that the population can be armed, and we can speak freely, we must continually strive to keep it so. It must be remembered that many have died to be free.
“How do we serve our country if we are not in some military uniform? Well, to start we vote with out brains. No one can honestly say that our country is better off than it was in 2019. I’m not going to insult your intelligence citing our downfall in the last 2 ½ years, but this I will say: for those who justify their actions to save their job, it’s time to look for another job.
“By now, all of us know there was no ‘Russian Collusion,’ that the 2020 election was stolen, and that the Jan. Sixers were railroaded in support of an insurrection that was orchestrated by Nancy Pelosi and carried out by VP Mike Judas Pence. But what’s especially irritating is that there’s way too many DHS and FBI agents who willingly violate their Oath by violating citizens’ rights — because the agents are afraid they’ll lose their lousy criminal government jobs. These people are so delusional they don’t realize they’ll be the first to be fed to the lions because potential whistleblowers are a liability. Once participating in an illegal operation – Roger Stone’s early morning raid; the infamous Mar-a-Largo raid – the soul is expendable, and any ‘honor collateral’ just went out the window. My advice to those agents on the next illegal raid would be to watch your back from ‘friendly fire.’”
“Excuse us, please, while we take a short commercial break.”

“We’re back. Go ahead.”
“It’s the disillusioned bureaucrats who allow the Deep State to take hold, and these unelected agents and office employees have a serious mental dilemma: do the right thing or dishonor those have died for our rights? For those of us who still have a conscience, who still have a soul, who haven’t sold out, there is no alternative to doing the right thing.
“Unfortunately, there are too many who go through life with blinders on. Joe Biden is responsible for the out-of-control inflation which is directly connected to the price of a barrel of oil. ‘Rape trees’ are a direct result of the open border as are Fentanyl deaths. Just think, there would be no ‘Angel Moms’ if the immigration laws were enforced. And therein lies the problem: people don’t think.
“CNN and the rest of the mainstream media, resulting in the Fake News, brainwashed the gullible into getting the ‘Clot Shot’ (vaxed). How many of the politicians followed? One? And the same equation is used for our kids in school: the more drugs they’re forced to take, the more money the school is paid. The more deaths hospitals attributed to COVID-19, the more money they received.
“Reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode, the one where the bad guys stole a ton of gold and zapped themselves forward in time only to discover that gold could be synthesized for pennies. So, these agents and stupid Dems support a system where they’ll find themselves locked behind the barbed wire with the rest of us. It’s like this: people steal millions, billions, only to discover, perhaps soon, there’s nothing for sale worth having, it’ll all be mediocrity in the ‘Land of Socialism.’
“So, what have we learned from this sermon? That selling out your country isn’t worth it. The dividends (money) don’t pay for a lifetime of regret. We also learned to keep our kids out of public schools, away from the reach of Big Pharma and socialistic indoctrination.
“And lastly, I’d like to throw this in the mix. If you see someone on television that you enjoy watching and listening to, send them a card telling them so. Doesn’t take much effort and I’m sure it would be appreciated. I recently started watching reruns of ‘The Joy of Painting’ and I regret not dropping a line to Bob Ross. I watch the news and when it starts getting to be too much, I switch to ‘The Joy of Painting’ and relax as my blood pressure drops. Thank you, Bob Ross, belatedly.
“And now I’ll conclude this sermon with the caveat that we – that would be you and me, not our ‘woke’ and compromised military – support Israel until the last of the Muslim creeps who attacked the defenseless Jews are dead for keeps, none of this ‘revenge’ from sons, grandsons, great-grandsons until the end of time, will be tolerated. I will not repeat the last sentence; I’ll just pray that the IDF uses the Bunker Busters that my tax dollars paid for be used to the greatest advantage. Amen.”
“Amen? That’s it? That was great. Let’s have a commercial.”

“I just looked at the clock and realized that we’re out of time and so, this is your Roving Reporter, along with Bishop Dunkin, praying that our new Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, gets whatever support he needs to do the best he can. We wish each of you a goodnight: Goodnight.
“Good show. Burger time: my treat.”
