Polar Vortex Strikes Again

Another burst of frigid arctic air is headed south.

In a typical winter, the polar vortex only hits America two or three times, but this week will be the 10th polar visitation of the year.

The cold air hits the Rockies and northern Plains today, and only California and Florida will be spared the frigid temps this week.

Meteorologists expect next week to be the coldest of the year across the nation, with average temps hitting 14 on Wednesday.
