Progressives are trotting out the word “polycrisis” to explain the “unprecedented convergences between ecological, political, and economic strife.” Instead of trusting in the free market to create incentives that will solve climate challenges, the left is claiming it’s a “polycrisis” that is simply too complex for the free market to solve. They claim the rise of Donald Trump is a “polycrisis” that poses a threat too dynamic for democracy to handle.
Instead of taking the time to objectively analyze the various components of a crisis or phenomenon, progressives are content to throw up their hands and claim it’s a “polycrisis” when, in reality, it’s a power grab.
