I learned in my early political years in the 60’s (D) and then more in the early 90’s (R) that the two political parties were nothing to trust or to believe in. I learned by what I personally experienced in trying to be a working member of first the Democrats and then the GOP. There is very little difference between the two groups other than how they spell their party name. I was a Conservative even in the 60’s (when the Dems were more conservative than the GOP). In the 90’s the GOP tried to silence me as they didn’t like my conservative stands. Both instances were in FAR LEFT Washington State. As I have often said – the only true Conservative Governor this state ever had was Dixie Lee Ray and she ran as a Democrat.
If you vote based on Party affiliation only then you should just not vote. Cast your vote based on the person and what they stand for – not what they promise and then ignore.
Back in the 60’s I was pushing hard for party affiliation to be removed from all campaign material. I believe that all election outcomes would be much different if the PARTY game were removed.
Draining the SWAMP is long overdue and I won’t hold my breath waiting. Expecting or hoping for the Political Party leaders to be TRUTHFUL is like expecting the Devil to speak truthful words. Ain’t gonna happen.
Eph. 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
