Seven arrested in Chattanooga after 10,000 fentantyl pills and eight firearms recovered

Chattanooga police arrested seven people after recovering 10,000 fentanyl pills during a search warrant operation on North Hawthorne Street, according to a news release from the police department.

Officers also recovered 2 pounds of marijuana, eight firearms and $3,400 in the Wednesday search related to several shooting investigations since April, the release said.

Three of the guns recovered were stolen and three were outfitted with machine gun conversion devices that allow a semiautomatic pistol to become fully automatic, according to the release.

Six of the arrested individuals, including a juvenile, were charged with possession of fentanyl for resale and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. The group taken into custody included:

— Denzel Roberson, 20

— Jermiah Crayton, 19

— Ri’Key Hudson, 18

— Keyaun Mitchell, 20

Kayla Bridges, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana.

This is an ongoing investigation.
