Son Saves Father’s Life Twice with Donations

Joshua Andrew, 23, has saved his father David’s life twice—first by donating bone marrow during his cancer treatment and now by giving him a kidney.

David, 57, developed chronic kidney disease due to chemotherapy he underwent a decade ago for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

During his initial treatment, Joshua donated bone marrow, which played a crucial role in his father’s recovery from cancer. When David’s kidney function recently declined, Joshua returned from Australia to donate a kidney, which was a perfect match.

Now recovering at home, David and his family have expressed deep gratitude, with Joshua’s mother calling his selflessness “difficult to put into words.
