When something happens to someone or something you love and you can’t find closure, your mind might be filled with a mix of emotions like confusion, lingering pain, a constant replay of memories, unanswered questions. There is a sense of incompleteness, guilt, frustration, and a deep longing for some sort of understanding. This leading to a struggle to move forward and accept the situation as it is. Yes, all this over a cat…. but this cat was exceptional.
He was our cat to feed every morning and ever evening, but he had friends everywhere. When he was bored with me or wanted to sleep some place besides my office, he would visit a neighbor and spend some time with them. He was well behaved and clean. He took medication without a fuss. A litter box was not unknown to him but he would prefer the outdoors. He would wait in the drive for me to come home to take him around in the car. He loved to ride.
He was a cat’s cat. It’s now been six days since he has been missing. Wherever he has gone I know God is watching over him.
“And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration.” And then God created “CAT”.
