State Weighs Funding School Metal Detectors

State lawmakers are considering a bill that would provide grant funding for metal detectors in schools following the recent shooting at Antioch High School.

The Protecting Tennessee Schools and Events Act proposes a pilot program to provide grants to school districts unable to afford portable walk-through metal detectors, set for July 1.
