A shooting at the Kansas City Super Bowl celebration parade left one person dead and up to 22 more injured, including 8 children near the downtown Union Station.
Police arrested two individuals, including one suspect who fled the scene only to be tackled and apprehended by fans in attendance. Here’s video of the apprehension.
One witness initially thought the gunshots were firecrackers until he heard people screaming. “Once the crowd moved out of the way, I could see three people with gunshot wounds.”
The outbreak of gunfire caused chaos among the thousands gathered as some ran and others sought cover. You can see photos here.
