Tennessee Firearms Association is interested in hearing from lawyers, judges and other interested parties on the possibility of TFA producing a continuing legal education program or seminar regarding Tennessee’s firearms laws.
In the past, John Harris helped produce through third party CLE services several firearms related CLE courses that considered topics including civilian use of deadly force, civilian “carry” laws, Tennessee’s “gun-free” zones, firearms trusts and even a course designed specifically for federal firearms licensees.
In order to assess the level of interest in one or more continuing legal education courses being developed, TFA is requesting feedback specifically from attorneys and judges to the following questions:
1) What firearms related topics would you be interested in having addressed in a CLE program?
2) What format (two hours, half-day or all day) would be of more interest?
3) Depending on the topics, such as federal firearms licensing, would you be interested in hearing from government regulators (if available) or industry experts?
4) Would you be willing to travel in-state for the course?
5) If arrangements could be made with a third party gun range and its instructors, would you be interested in optionally obtaining training with firearms on a range at an additional cost?
You can send your responses to johnharris@tennesseefirearms.com.
