The West TN Regional Chapter of the TFA will be holding our regularly stated meeting Thursday, the 17th of October 2024 at Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store, located in the Casey Jones Village, Jackson, TN. Our room will be available at 5:00 p.m. for those who wish to share a meal and fellowship. There will be a legislative update prior to the speaker taking the floor.
Our speaker this month is Senator Brent Taylor, representing District 31 (part of Shelby County). He is 2nd Vice-Chairperson of Transportation and Safety Committee, Member of Judiciary, Government Operations and Joint Commerce, Labor, Transportation and Agriculture Committees. Although in his Freshman term, he is uniquely situated due to his assignment to Judiciary and Government Operations Committees to have a large impact on the legal structure of the state.
His main thrust in his first term has been to bring accountability to the Judicial and Law Enforcement departments in Memphis, Shelby County and indeed the entire state. His mantra is “Make Memphis Matter!”
