The State of Washington is now demanding that all vehicles sold, by the year 2030 or 2035, be electric vehicles, even though
- EVs put a strain on the electric power grid;
- the upstream, immediate, and downstream pollution, created in the manufacture of EVs is as bad, if not worse, than ICEs (Internal Combustion Engine);
- EV battery fires have been shown to be toxic, dangerous, and hard to put out.
- It is only a matter of time before children, strapped in car seats, in the backseat of an EV with fire coming from under the passenger compartment, are trapped, and perish because they cannot be rescued.
The State of Washington is also working to ban natural gas, state-wide, irrespective of the fact that natural gas
- is far more efficient than electricity;
- costs less to provide;
- takes stress off the power grid.
