This small North Idaho town kept to itself. Then a Christian nationalist church asked the U.S. Government to intervene

Folks, I really encourage people to start holding these propagandists feet to the fire.  The article I reference can be found at https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2025/may/25/this-small-north-idaho-town-kept-to-itself-then-a-/

Mr Duggan,

Have you ever read and studied President George Washington’s farewell address?  If not, maybe you should, because President Washington was the epitome of what you term a “Chrisian nationalist”.  So were the bulk of the Founding Fathers.  Christian nationalism is even found in the Bible, in the book of Genesis when the people, speaking a single language, endeavored to build a tower (Babel) to the heavens.  God caused them to be scattered, speaking different languages, such that they could not understand one another.  Thus were nations formed.

That you went to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a Marxist organization, for your definition, not only shows your intent to smear a church that you obviously know nothing about, but also your ignorance of the Bible, God’s Law or Natural Law.

Marxism is antithetical to Christianity, Marx being a worshipper of Satan, whose goal it was/is to destroy mankind.  This, bottom line, is the ideology of the SPLC.  One has to question why, if you believe in the principles upon which this nation was founded, you would ever consider using them as a source.

Two great Founders made clear that we are, as founded, a Christian nation:

John Adams, “Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people; it is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

James Madison, “The future and success of America is not in the Constitution, but in the laws of God upon which this Constitution was founded.”

Our founding principles, our founding documents, are what make our nation unique of all nations on earth.  And the primary principle is that freedom only exists when one chooses to live by God’s Law or Natural Law as made very apparent in the Declaration of Independence

Our Founding Fathers made quite clear that if the people did not choose to abide the Ten Commandments of God, that freedom would soon perish.

Our Founding Fathers were highly intelligent men.  In the words of Thomas Jefferson, “The most effectual means of preventing the perversion of power into tyranny are to illuminate, as far as practicable, the minds of the people at large, and more especially to give them knowledge of those facts which history exhibits, that possessed thereby of the experience of other ages and countries, they may be enabled to know ambition under all its shapes, and prompt to exert their natural powers to defeat its purposes.”  No child should graduate high school without having a thorough understanding of our founding era, something you obviously do not have.

In short, Mr Duggan, you may think you are quite progressive (a nice way of saying Marxist) in your thinking, but what you’ve really shown is that you’ve got a lot to learn.

Sincerely,

Lynn Finney
