The West TN Regional Chapter of the TFA will hold our regularly stated meeting Thursday, the 20th of February 2025 at Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store, located in Casey Jones Village, Jackson, TN. Our room will be available at 5:00 p.m. for those who wish to share a meal and fellowship. There will be a legislative update prior to the speaker taking the floor.
Our speaker this month is Deputy Chief Gary Benton. Beginning with JPD in October 1993, started in Patrol then transferred to the SWAT Team in 1996. Promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2002 and Lieutenant in 2015, he later become a member of the Bomb Unit, and became its Commander. While serving there attended Nashville School Law where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2014 and passed the bar the following year. In January 2022, he was promoted to Captain and assumed the role of Legal Advisor to the Chief of Police and the Command Staff. Later promoted to Deputy Chief of Administration in December 2023.
Membership is NOT required to attend, all are welcome.
