President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday nominated Dr. Mehmet Oz to oversee federal health insurance programs and Wall Street executive Howard Lutnick as commerce secretary.
Surgeon and TV personality Dr. Oz, a former Pennsylvania Senate candidate, has been nominated to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Trump announced Oz would collaborate closely with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Lutnick is the CEO of investment firm Cantor Fitzgerald and has been serving as co-chair of the Trump transition team alongside Trump’s former Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon.
