The reported appearance of Tucker Carlson in Moscow has sparked speculation over whether he’s there to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin. Carlson hasn’t commented, nor has Russian media.
Carlson was spotted at the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow on Feb. 1, according to Russian media. He has said before that he tried to get an interview with Putin in 2023 and was stopped by the U.S. government.
The possibility of Carlson interviewing Putin while Russia is at war with Ukraine brought quick criticism. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene defended Carlson from the attacks: “We have a free press in this country.’”
