Two Dead in Nashville School Cafeteria Shooting

A shooting at Antioch High School in Nashville on Wednesday left two students dead, including the 17-year-old shooter, and another student injured.

Police identified the victim as 16-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante and the shooter as Solomon Henderson, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after opening fire in the school cafeteria around 11:09 a.m.

The third student suffered a grazing wound. A fourth student was transported to the hospital after suffering a facial injury from a fall, police said.

Metro Nashville Police Department spokesman Don Aaron said police responded within two minutes of the first 911 call, and Chief John Drake indicated investigators are examining online materials as they work to determine a motive for the shooting.
