I guess I could say, “I told you so.” What the government giveth, the government can also taketh. And Initiative 2081 gave the government the right to decide what rights parents have. And now the Marxist Democrats are going to take them away.

Urgent – Parental Rights Law is Under Attack in Olympia

Half a million Washington State citizens signed the parents’ rights initiative 2081 which became law – and now it’s about to be gutted by “changes” proposed by Olympia
Proposed House Bill 1296 – is NOT promoting a safe and supportive public education system
Instead, the proposed rewrite of the Parental Rights Law eliminates a parents’ ability:
- To see their child’s Medical or health records, or records of any mental health counseling
- To receive notification when any medical service or medications are given to their child or if their health insurance is impacted
- To receive notice if their child is involved in a crime
- To receive notice and be able to opt their child out of instruction on topics associated with comprehensive sexual education that may be taught in settings other than health class
The proposed so-called corrections add “protections” for:
- A teacher or administrator to keep a secret file on your child
- Students to use the bathroom, locker room, and shower based on their self-selected “gender”
- Students to participate in sports that align with their “gender identity”

Right now there are only 1122 people opposing this bill – that is not enough!
We must continue to advance a wide-spread collective response to promote preserving the Parental Rights Law – as written.
