Looking forward in 2025, the battle for Second Amendment Rights in Tennessee’s Legislature is not with Democrats or Progressives. There are not enough of them in the Legislature to stop anything that the Republicans, who hold a numerical super majority, want to pass.
Instead, the real problem is the Establishment Republicans many of whom dominate the Legislature through leadership positions in the House or Senate.
This includes those who identify as Republicans but who voted against REAL constitutional carry, voted against removing gun free zones and who voted against amending the state constitution to remove a provision that violates the Second Amendment.
