A Memphis baker and TikTok creator with 2.4 million followers, Chloe’s Giant Cookies, is among eight content creators challenging the federal TikTok ban before the U.S. Supreme Court this Friday.
Chloe Joy Sexton, owner of Chloe’s Giant Cookies, argues the platform is “integral” to her business, while the Biden administration defends the law as necessary to address national security concerns about Chinese control.
TikTok has announced plans to shut down U.S. operations by Jan. 19 unless the Supreme Court intervenes to block or delay the law requiring its Chinese parent company to sell the platform.
