WOKE LIFE
Frank Capra’s 1946 film, It’s a Wonderful Life, is a Christmas movie classic. The film contains some great life lessons including a quote by Clarence, the angel who said,
“Strange, isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. And when he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?”
That is true. Unfortunately, the America in the 1940s and ‘50s is far different than it is today. And parents should be concerned about the woke culture touching their kids’ lives.
The meaning of the word “woke” has changed. It used to mean an awareness of racial discrimination. But people began using the word with identity politics.
Today, woke is actually cultural Marxism. Like Marxism, woke philosophy views the world through the lens of the oppressed or oppressors. What makes woke offensive to conservatives is that self-proclaimed oppressed people who are engaged in alternative lifestyles like transgenderism are seeking to groom children into their lifestyle.
The purpose of Drag Queen story hour is to normalize abnormal behavior. If you complain, you become the oppressor.
When parents protest this gender confusion curriculum is being taught to their children in public schools, the parents are seen as the oppressors and are being targeted as domestic terrorists.
For example, the book, Gender Queer includes pornographic illustrations of sex acts between young people. When parents read from books like this in a public school board meeting, they are shut down because what they are reading is inappropriate. But then the parents point out that these are books in the school library but to no avail.
Isaiah 5:20 says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,
who put darkness for light and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”
The Bible says, God created 2 genders: man and woman. Jesus said in Matthew 19:4,
“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female.”
That’s right. There are just 2 genders and this truth has been clearly understood for millennia. So what happened to our culture that has deceived people into believing that they can change the gender that God made them to be?
What happened to America?
