“Inside the shelter, it felt like for every $100 that was donated 75 went to admin, 25 to the people. No one’s talking about there’s a huge elephant that people need to fix,” Mr. Pineda said, “If we just keep on throwing money at this every year, if the money goes up and the homeless population goes up as well, does the math really add up?”
