After announcing yesterday that she is launching yet another national tour to celebrate abortion, Kamala Harris did an interview with MSNBC where she falsely claimed that Christians can support killing babies in abortions.
Almost 1 million babies are killed in abortions every year, so you’d think that would be enough for Harris, but, no, she will be criss-crossing the country celebrating abortion once again.
Harris joined MSNBC’s “Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” on Tuesday for an interview about her Abortion Celebration Tour.
“I will be meeting with folks around the country of all types of background, by the way, and political party affiliation to talk about the fact that one — most of us agree that one does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held belief to believe that the government should not be telling her what to do with her body,” she said.
Set aside the fact that the baby’s body is not the mother’s body and that abortion bans protecting the lives of unborn children don’t tell women what they can do with their bodies.
The fact is that, for Christian, their deeply held beliefs are fully at odds with her nothing that killing children made in God’s image is a good thing.
Most Christians recognize that abortion is wrong because it kills a unique, living human being who is a valuable person created in the image of God. The Bible condemns murder, the harming of children and the shedding of innocent blood, and it recognizes unborn babies as valuable, living human beings.

True Christianity raises up the most vulnerable, defends the defenseless and offers compassion to the suffering. This includes babies in the womb who, throughout the Bible, are recognized as unique, valuable human beings who are created in God’s image.
All across the U.S., Christians are working to save unborn babies and providing support and encouragement to pregnant and parenting mothers in need. Of course, pro-lifers of other faiths and no faith are doing this, too. Through pregnancy centers, maternity homes and many other charities, pro-life advocates are practicing true justice and the “love-thy-neighbor” commandment by providing baby supplies, housing, financial assistance, parenting classes and more to help millions of mothers and babies thrive.
Biblical principles are clear when it comes to killing babies in abortions: “Thou shalt not murder.”
And other Bible verses make it obvious that God cares about the life of human beings developing in the womb — making it so no serious Christian could support the killing of 63 million babies made in His image.
“God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27)
“Truly children are a gift from the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward” (Psalm 127:3)
“You knit me in my mother’s womb . . . nor was my frame unknown to you when I was made in secret” (Psalm 139:13,15)
“You have been my guide since I was first formed . . . from my mother’s womb you are my God” (Psalm 22:10-11).
“God… from my mother’s womb had set me apart and called me through his grace” (Galatians 1:15)
