Tesla’s Gigafactory in Grünheide (Mark), Germany, was targeted by an arson attack after an electrical substation was set on fire. Far-left activists with the “Volcano Group” claimed responsibility for the attack and released a statement.
In the statement, they claimed Tesla negatively impacts the environment: “Tesla consumes earth, resources, people, workers and in return spits out 6,000 SUVs, killer cars and monster trucks each week.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the news, writing on X, “These are either the dumbest eco-terrorists on Earth or they’re puppets of those who don’t have good environmental goals. Stopping production of electric vehicles, rather than fossil fuel vehicles, ist extrem dumm.”
