TFA joins Amicus Brief in United States Supreme Court involving Donald Trump ballot access

Tennessee Firearms Association and others file amicus brief in United States Supreme Court in appeal by Donald Trump regarding ballot access.

On January 18, 2024, Tennessee Firearms Association and Tennessee Firearms Foundation (a 501c3) joined Gun Owners of America and numerous other organizations in filing an amicus brief in the United States Supreme Court case of Donald Trump v. Norma Anderson, et al. No: 23-719.

This is the appeal by Mr. Trump from the rulings in Colorado that attempted to block him in his presidential race from the state’s ballot. Although the issues in the case are not directly “Second Amendment” focused, the outcome of the case could be critical for conservatives in Tennessee and across the nation. The amicus brief asserts that the state of Colorado had no authority, much less constitutional authority, to attempt to block Mr. Trump from the ballot in that state.
