Escaping terrorists and refusing to hate: One Palestinians story

On Sunday, Josep Borrell, the European Union’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, condemned the Hamas terror group’s use of “hospitals and civilians as human shields.”
Meet Dor Shachar, a young Palestinian who found refuge in Israel.
ESCAPING TERRORISTS
Over the weekend, the Epoch Times ran a fascinating interview with Dor Shachar who “grew up as Aiman Abu Suboh in a Muslim family of five in the Gaza Strip city of Khan Yunis. At age 7, he was taught in school that he had to kill Jews.”
But Shachar didn’t want to kill anyone. So he was beaten by his father for not complying. So when Shachar was 12-and-a-half, he ran away from home and lived on a construction site in Israel.”
Spoiler alert: Shachar was befriended by a Jewish community and he later converted to Judaism but not before being sent back to his parents and later escaping again.
Proving once again that Palestinians and Jews could live together if the Palestinians give up its murderous hatred of the Jews.
ISAAC AND ISHMAEL
Shachar said in the interview, “What we are witnessing is a religious war between Islam and Judaism. When we don’t believe in Muhammad, we’re considered infidels, and the punishment for infidels is death.”
Ishmael was the son of Abraham and Sarah’s handmaid, Hagar. But the Bible says that God gave the blessing to Isaac, Abraham and Sarah’s son. He was the son of promise and a patriarch of the Judaism.
Ishmael lived 1700 BC. Muhammad founded Islam around 600 AD. But the descendants of Ishmael (the Arabs) are predominantly Muslim today.
Therefore, Shachar is right. The war that he says is between Islam and Judaism is truly between the Ishmaelites (Arabs) and the Jews.
JACOB AND ESAU
Many Bible scholars believe that the Palestinians are actually the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, Jacob’s twin brother from Isaac. This family feud has also continued for millennia.
Malachi 1:2-3 says, “Jacob I have loved; But Esau I have hated…” Why is Esau hated?
The prophet Obadiah says in verse 1:1, “This is what the Sovereign Lord says about Edom…”
Verse 10 says, “Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever.”
On October 7th, we witnessed Edom’s violence against his brother Jacob. And the Bible says Edom will be destroyed. Yikes.
Remember the Abrahamic covenant in Genesis 12:3 says, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you…” For this reason, I pray that America never curses Israel.
Which brings us to today. One of the saddest things Shachar said about his people was, “Children have no value there, in Gaza strip. It’s not like a Jewish child, if his mom doesn’t see him for a second, she goes crazy. With Palestinians, it’s different. They bring children into the world to kill Jews. This whole population belongs to terrorists.”
I didn’t say it. Shachar said it.
Shachar says the hatred for the Jews is, “Not just Hamas and Jihad, but also PLO, Fatah, Tanzim, all this population belongs to terrorists. This entire population wants to kill Jews.”
There you have it from a Palestinian’s mouth.
PROPHETIC PREVIEW
Just as the Olympic Games begins with the opening ceremonies and the introductions of the countries with their flags before the games begin. So we are seeing the nations parading onto the stage that will fulfill Bible prophecy.
Right now the war in Israel is limited to Hamas and Hezbollah. If it spreads to include Jordan, Syria, Egypt, then we may see the fulfillment of the war of Psalm 83.
Pray that more Palestinians will have a change of heart like Dor Shachar. And pray for all Muslims, Palestinians and Jews will suddenly recognize “the true Light which gives light to every man” (John 1:9) has already come into the world. His name is Jesus and only He is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6-7) who can bring peace to the world.
