Jackson City Council Review Committee Met Thursday – Spending where it is not Needed

The Agenda Review Committee met late Thursday afternoon to finalize the items that will be introduced at the upcoming Jackson City Council meeting.

Some of the items discussed included some of the new business that will be brought before the city council including consideration of the purchase of eight paratransit vans under statewide contract for the Jackson Transit Authority.

Mayor Scott Conger says he has several goals in mind for the city heading into 2024.

We’ll start to make some construction projects for our civic center, finish construction on the animal care center, then hopefully this year, 2024, we’ll start our construction on Airways,” Conger said. “All the things we’ve been talking about, we’re finally getting the ball rolling on them and be able to start doing them.”

The Jackson City Council will hold their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, January 2 beginning at 9 a.m. at Jackson City Hall.
