TENNESSEE FIREARMS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES “RED FLAG DOWN”

CAMPAIGN AHEAD OF SPECIAL SESSION ON GUN CONTROL

(Nashville, TN) – Today, the Tennessee Firearms Association (TFA) and the Tennessee Firearms Association Legislative Action Committee (TFALAC) jointly announced a well-funded initiative to defeat the proposed Red Flag Laws under consideration in the upcoming Tennessee Legislative Special Session. The “Red Flag Down” campaign will highlight recent polling that reveals 84%  of Tennessee voters believe separating dangerous people from potential victims by removing them from the community– not separating individuals from firearms– is the best way to keep a  community safe.

“To prevent school shootings and crime throughout our state, Tennessee voters want to remove dangerous, violent people – not Red Flag Laws that confiscate guns but keep threatening individuals in the community,” said John Harris, Executive Director of TFA. “Clearly, this Special Session and the legislation under consideration is contrary to common sense and the will of the people. Through the Red Flag Down campaign, we will give citizens a voice and ensure it is heard loud and clear at the State Capitol.”

#RedFlagDown will officially launch next week with a three-week advertising campaign.
